They removed all the non-reading apps like email and the notepad and just left a bare minimum of apps to start with, and it’s not easy to add more because they removed the Midiapolis appstore that had a wide selection of apps, so you have to go find app files yourself and sideload them manually. The software has been trimmed down from what was on the InkBook Obsidian, the previous model. Greek artists used to sculpt images that would tell a story on friezes and vases. Egyptian hieroglyphs were a more evolved form of this which show a more methodical and organised depiction of their lifestyle.Īs civilisation progressed so did the art. The earliest examples of this can be found in caves which home rudimentary paintings seeking to transmit the prehistoric human experience in a sequential format. In fact, the human race has been using visuals to convey information or ‘stories’ long before the invention of the written word. While The comic strip may be the most recognisable form of sequential art in today’s world, this art form actually predates comics by millennia. In some cases, it includes a combination of visuals and text thought text is not necessary for it to be considered sequential art. But first, let’s define what exactly it is… What is sequential art?Īs the name alludes to, sequential art refers to the use of visuals – such as drawings, images and/or photos – that are used in a sequence in order to tell or illustrate a story. In this article, we explore the various forms of sequential art. While comics are a form of sequential art there are many other disciplines that fall under this umbrella term. The term sequential art is often used interchangeably with the term comic, however there is much more to it than just that. AdaFruit has a great write up on everything LED.Even if you had it in the right way, you won’t do it any harm by changing it around. If your LED won’t light up, try turning it around. LED’s that are backwards don’t work, but they don’t get damaged either. Remember that the LED is directional and that the anode (longer leg) should go towards the positive voltage. We can also change the brightness programmatically with a trick called Pulse Width Modulation. You can add different resistor before the LED to impede the voltage to it or you can connect it to different voltages directly (9V power would shine brighter than 5V which would be brighter than 3.3V power). Think of a clear LED as a torch shining light in a specific direction while diffuse would be more like a brake light on a car.īrightness can be changed in a few ways. Jurassic Park III is no one’s favorite JP movie, if we’re being honest. There was no young T-Rex in the original film, but there was one in the original novel, which is what this is based on. If you can find one in the box, this toy still retails at auction for upwards of $800. The toy also comes with capture gear to play with, as well as a slashing jaw mechanism. The paint job sets this one apart, as the toy is painted dark and light green, contrary to the browns of most of the toys. Like some other toys, it has removable “dino-damage” that simulates a battle. This figure has a rubber outside that gives the skin a realistic texture while its arms and lower legs are hard plastic. Many sites list this as a $1,000+ toy, however, NIB models sell on eBay for around $500. These include player-activated roaring and jaw movements, stomping sounds, and arm movements. Most uniquely, this T-Rex toy powered up with batteries for a ton of extra features.
